I tried to find an e-mail address for Emerson for some general inquiries, but I only found a phone number for Conn-Selmer on their web site. Keep in mind, this is the info provided by sales reps, so it should be received with some skepticism. They also said the new Emersons (2001 +) play much better, since Emerson started hand finishing the mechanism and hand cutting the embouchure holes, as well as undercutting the tone holes. However, they were now selling them at closeout prices to get rid of them. The sales reps did have a couple of ELD flutes, which they said used to be the best ones offered in their line. I recently bought a new Emerson flute as my backup flute (but it's all I play currently since I'm saving for a Powell).
